World Energy Council National Member Committee for Malaysia has been established recently with a vision to demonstrate responsibility towards the issues of sustainable energy development in Malaysia specifically in the area of clean energy and alternative energy. We are committed to represent the Malaysia perspective within national, regional and global energy debates. We will contribute in development of information and policy perspectives, global expert knowledge, technical research, technology, business and industrial application.
Our mission is to promote and strengthen the development of Malaysia's industrial energy in a sustainable and socially responsible way. We coordinate participation of Malaysia in the World Energy Council by nominating representatives to the WEC activities, policy forums, international dialogues and conferences and organizing the Malaysia delegation to the Triennial WEC Congress, WEC Executive Assembly Meetings and Regional Energy Forum.
WEC Malaysia strives to shape an affordable, stable and environmentally sensitive energy sector for the benefit of all Malaysians. As a professional, knowledgeable and collaborative organization with broad membership at the executive level, it advances current energy issues through objective energy dialogue and direct engagement with the WEC, the world's leading energy association.
The goal is to promote and strengthen the development of Malaysia's industrial energy in a sustainable and socially responsible way. The WEC holds public policy forums, various member activities and hosts International Conference. It represents Malaysia and coordinates participation in WEC activities.
